Celebrating Success: Three team members pass their AAT exams

At Wheelers, we’re proud to support our team as they grow, learn, and achieve—and this month, we’re delighted to be celebrating the hard work and success of three of our colleagues who have passed their AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualifications.

Ben Goose, Jack Gilbert and Anna Norris have each reached significant milestones in their accounting journeys, demonstrating real commitment, skill and a passion for professional development.

Wheelers Partner Helen Garrett shared her thoughts on the achievement; “We’re incredibly proud of Ben, Jack and Anna. Their dedication to learning while delivering excellent work for our clients is exactly what Wheelers is all about. We know how much time and effort goes into achieving these qualifications and it’s fantastic to see them reach these milestones.”

Ben Goose
Ben joined Wheelers after having already completed AAT Level 3 at another firm. He returned to study after a break to complete AAT Level 4 with us—an experience he described as “tricky at first, but ultimately really rewarding.”

“Wheelers have been brilliant at helping me progress,” Ben said. “Now that I’ve completed my training, I see how often the knowledge comes up in day-to-day work. It’s been incredibly useful.”

Ben works in our Company & Audit department under Emma, where his role includes accounts preparation, bookkeeping and supporting audits as a junior team member.

Jack Gilbert
Jack completed his AAT qualification in the summer of 2024, having tackled a wide range of modules including Applied Management Accounting, Business Tax, and Audit and Assurance.

“I really enjoyed completing the AAT and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking to start a career in accounts,” Jack said. “What I learned through AAT aligns so well with the work we do—it helped me connect the dots between theory and practice.”

Jack’s academic background includes a First Class degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Northampton. He began his career in Personal Tax, completed the ATT qualification, and has since worked across sole trader and company accounts, as well as handling payroll at key periods of the year.

Anna Norris
Anna joined Wheelers in early 2022 and has steadily progressed through the AAT levels, starting with the Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping and working her way up to achieving the Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting.

Her journey from an AAT Trainee Bookkeeper to a fully qualified MAAT Accounts Assistant is a testament to her determination and growth.

Helen Garrett continued to praise the trio’s accomplishments, “It’s a real joy to see talented individuals like Anna, Ben and Jack grow through the firm and succeed in their qualifications. We know they’ve worked incredibly hard and they should be very proud of what they’ve achieved—we certainly are.”

At Wheelers, we believe in supporting professional development and nurturing our team’s ambitions. Congratulations once again to Ben, Jack and Anna—you’ve earned it, and we look forward to seeing what’s next in your careers.
